Advance
The Advance belt is a coated, narrow V-belt fitted with a special tension cord and an exclusive rubber compound in order to guarantee top performance. It displays ultra-high length stability and consequently requires less maintenance than comparable standard narrow V-belts.
And thanks to its tension cord made of strengthened polyester, fibre-reinforced compound and double fabric coating, the Advance V-belt is perfect for industrial uses demanding top performance. The Advance V-belt undoubtedly provides a higher overall efficiency factor. Its performance potential is much more than 40 per cent above that of other standard V-belts. Furthermore, its better length stability means that maintenance work can be kept to a minimum, a fact which helps to lower operating costs and ramp up productivity.
And there is yet another advantage: drives using belt sets can be arranged and set up in a much narrower layout, which again leads to a saving of system costs. The Advance V-belt is electrically conductive in accordance with ISO 1813. It can be used within a temperature range of -30°C up to +80°C and it is partially oil resistant. This belt is available in the profiles SPZ, SPA, SPB and SPC.

Pre-Tensioning The Belt Correctly
Firstly the belt always has to be tightened in line with the calculated pre-tensioning force and checked after a running-in period of about 5 minutes. The belt is then to be retightened according to the relevant value, should it have shifted or altered its position in any way. Finally after a further 8 hours of operating, the belt is to be once again inspected and, if necessary, tightened to comply with the required value that has already been calculated.
